Payment card programme manager Crunch Payments has appointed Transact Payments Limited (TPL) as its preferred card issuer.

London-based Crunch acts as a one-stop traditional programme manager for start-ups, small, medium and large businesses, offering them a quick, cost-effective and hassle-free route to delivering a payment card service for their customers.

Crunch’s end-to-end payments card system covers everything from back office operations, a full set of application programming interfaces, card issuing and customer onboarding to payment processing and fraud detection. The white label system has flexibility built in, allowing clients to brand their payment cards and related cardholder website and mobile apps with their own logo and colour scheme, and define how they want the product to work.

Crunch brings an in-depth knowledge of the payments industry to the service it offers to clients. Originally set up as a product within the GPS payments processing platform, the company was later spun out and continues to use GPS for its transaction processing. Crunch Founder and Director Craig Dewar also co-founded GPS and continues to sit on its board of directors, while Io previously worked as Product Owner for GPS’ Compliance Products.
